Day 2 - St Goar and St Goarshausen

We spent today getting oriented to St. Goar, the community where our apartment is located.  Because of the flooding, most stores are closed.

Across the Rhine is St. Goarshausen which has also been affected by the flood but more stores are located away from the river.  Notice the walkway to the ferry we took to/from St. Goarshausen.  

On that side of the river we found a great hike, which gave us new views.  

We will revisit that side again for a hike to the top of the Loreley, the home of the singer who caused sailors to crash onto the rocks.  

As you can see, we had great weather.

We relaxed at the end of our busy day, enjoying the local fruits.
