Day 4 - A Boat Ride At Last!

The Rhine flood is receding enough to allow river traffic, so we took a boat ride from Bingen up to Koblenz, about a four hour trip.
The ride was relaxing and it provided a great view of the castles on the Rhine.

We arrived at Koblenz and visited the Deutches Eck (German Corner), where the Rhine and Mosel rivers join together.
We decided to explore Koblenz and do some shopping.

Various groups of children provided music in one of the many squares in this sectionof Koblenz. There were lots of restaurants with al fresco dining.

Then it was time to get to the train station and back to St. Goar - which we found to be mostly recovered from the flooding.

We are looking forward to coffee and pastry for breakfast here in St. Goar. That is true vacation, particularly because we did hand washing of our laundry tonight!
